Digital IT Specialist (post 254)

Competitive salary (depending on experience and qualifications)

Royal Russell is an HMC/IAPS co-educational school with over 1000 pupils between the ages of 3 and 18, situated on a beautiful green campus of 110 acres in the Shirley Hills near Croydon. We have over 150 boarding students in the Senior School, and are proud of our day and boarding facilities that rank amongst the best in the South of England. Our pupils, parents and staff experience a warm and friendly environment with strong pastoral care for every pupil alongside a comprehensive co-curricular and enrichment programme. We aim to build on this alongside improving academic success to continue to be the family school of choice in South London. The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) has recently judged the school as ‘excellent’ in all areas.

Are you a talented and aspiring digital specialist looking to join a forward-thinking School?

We are a forward thinking digitally progressive School looking for a digital specialist to support the technical needs of over 1500 users on a daily basis. With the introduction of a 1:1 iPad programme in excess of 400 pupils from September 2018 and a mac infrastructure covering Art, Music and Media Studies this is an ideal role for an innovative technician to support the School as it further develops its digital strategy.

We are offering an exceptional opportunity to join us at the start of our exciting journey in the use of mobile technology to enhance the learning experience. Staff and students have a significant number of hand held devices in their class rooms and you will support the Digital Lead to ensure that staff get the most from these devices to engage our students in their learning.

This is not a role for a technician who will be routinely required to fix any IT problems but a role for a digital expert who can support the use of mobile technology as an exciting dimension to our teaching and learning delivery, and the reshaping of our curriculum. You will be an exceptional team player who understands the importance of working collaboratively to enrich our transformation of the IT learning experience.

We offer excellent benefits which include a 50% discount on School fees, immediate non-contributory pension and free life cover, free car parking, free lunch and the use of our strength and conditioning room, on-site tennis courts and swimming pool.

Please visit http://www.royalrussell.co.uk/vacancies/ for further details about our School, the role and the application process. You can also contact us by email at hr@royalrussell.co.uk or telephone HR on 020-8657-4433.

References may be taken up before interview. Applications will be considered on receipt and should arrive no later than 12 noon on Monday 22nd January 2018. Interviews will be held at the school in the week commencing 29th January 2018.

Applicants who have not heard from us by Friday 26th January 2018 should presume that they have not been successful on this occasion.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments are subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (including a check against the Children’s Barred List) and other pre-employment screening including references and medical fitness.
