ASCL is seeking to appoint a Director of ASCL Cymru. This role will report to the General Secretary of ASCL.

The Director of ASCL Cymru is responsible for leading on all aspects of the association’s policy in relation to schools and colleges in Wales. The postholder supports the work of ASCL Council and is expected to meet and influence senior representatives at the National Assembly of Wales and influential bodies.

This is an exciting opportunity to occupy a national role at the forefront of a profession-led educational association. We are looking for a talented and authoritative individual with a background in education leadership who can influence Welsh policy, demonstrate strong leadership in the political education debate, deliver great professional development and show strong commercial acumen, and offer the highest quality support to our members.

This is a full-time role paid on a five-point incremental range from £62,509 – £68,942 per annum. Reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses are also covered. The postholder will work from home, with IT and telephone equipment provided, with attendance at ASCL HQ in Leicester and other locations across the UK as required.

ASCL also offers a very generous package of benefits, including a pension scheme to which the association contributes 9%.
