Job overview

We are looking for an ambitious and inspiring Senior Leader who will lead our cross phase Multi Academy Trust in driving improvements in Mathematics.

Your role:

  • To lead improvement in teaching and learning of Maths across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 within the MAT
  • To be line manager and responsible for the Curriculum Manager and RSLs post holders in Maths
  • To promote outstanding and innovative practice in Maths through research, coaching and mentoring and systematically sharing best teaching practice across the MAT
  • Working with the Curriculum Manager and Maths post holders in Stoke Damerel Community College to further develop the new Secondary Mathematics curriculum in line with national changes and revised qualifications
  • To support the SLE/Lead Practitioner to plan, implement and deliver Mastery in Mathematics across our family of schools
  • To demonstrate and articulate consistently high expectations of pedagogy and classroom practices in order to provide challenge and improvement using data and benchmarks for monitoring the progress for every learner across the MAT
  • To monitor the quality of teaching based on evidence, self-evaluation and development ensuring a consistent and continuous focus on achievement and aspiration.
  • To ensure support is provided for individual Maths teachers, where this is needed, so all lessons are consistently good or better.
  • To be a member of Stoke Damerel Community College Senior Leadership Team and a member of the MAT Executive leadership group
