One of the UK’s pre-eminent independent schools, Sherborne provides an outstanding all-boys boarding education in an idyllic market town. 

Sherborne is thriving under the leadership of Dr Dominic Luckett who became Headmaster and Chief Executive in January 2016. With plans to open a new boarding house to meet the increasing demand for places, the development of a £13m state-of-the-art sports centre, the recent merger with Sherborne Preparatory School, and plans to expand the international footprint through Sherborne Schools Worldwide, a joint venture with Sherborne Girls, this is a dynamic organisation on an exciting upward trajectory.

The School now seeks an outstanding Director of Admissions to ensure a first-class experience of Sherborne for prospective families.  Reporting to, and working closely with, Dr Luckett the appointee will be a key member of the School’s Senior Leadership Team with overall responsibility for the development and implementation of the marketing and promotional strategy to ensure that pupil numbers continue to prosper.

The successful candidate will combine high levels of professionalism with excellent leadership skills and a substantial track record of success in school and college admissions. Warm, imaginative and engaging, the Director of Admissions will possess the interpersonal skills to build strong relationships across the Sherborne community and externally and the gravitas to be compelling as a public face of the School.
