Job overview

RDFZ King’s College School is one of two schools in China initiated through partnership between the highly successful Chinese education management group, Dipont Education, and the prestigious King’s College School, Wimbledon. A third partner in Hangzhou is The High School Affiliated to Renmin University (RDFZ), one of China’s leading schools. At capacity, the whole school will serve over 3,000 students from 3 to 18 years of age.

About the School

RDFZ King’s College is located on an idyllic lakeside site in the Yuhang District of Hangzhou.

The facilities at the school are outstanding. We are committed to an educational environment that makes the most of our world-class campus and combines the best of Chinese and western approaches to learning and academic excellence, in a context of first-rate pastoral support and opportunities to excel outside the classroom. Every member of our community is involved in the areas of music, performing arts, service, sports or creative endeavours.

The school opened in September 2018 with over 700 students enrolled, increasing to over 1300 students in our second year of operation. These remarkable numbers are testament to the quality of the project, its exciting vision and the support of partners, parents and the whole school community. In a very short space of time, our pupils, who are mostly Chinese, have embraced the holistic style of education and inquiry-based pedagogy being employed.

Hangzhou, with a population of over 9 million people, is the capital of Zhejiang Province and an important city in China, recognised for its history, prosperity and beautiful natural scenery. It hosted the G-20 summit in 2016 and will stage the Asian Games in 2022. Shanghai can be accessed within one hour by high-speed train.
