Job overview

Full Time or ‘Term Time plus five weeks’ depending on the successful candidate

We are looking for a Director of Communications who will be a convincing and well-respected ambassador for this busy boarding and day school. The post will suit a dynamic and positive leader, committed to communicating Woldingham’s unique ethos and exceptional brand. The successful candidate will bring significant experience, ideally in an educational setting, and will be a strong communicator, decisive and well-organised, with vision and creativity.

The Director of Communications will be accountable for the strategic direction and oversight of two inter-linked departments: Marketing and Development. These departments consist of a team of five highly committed professionals; the Marketing team works with a focus on leading our brand positioning and its communication to all stakeholders, while the Development Team creates and implements the strategic plan for the Woldingham School Foundation. Our expertise in these areas speaks for itself and the successful candidate joins Woldingham at an exciting time in its 176 year history.

Close to London, yet in an outstandingly beautiful rural setting, Woldingham is a happy and successful Catholic boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 18. With a strong community and caring culture we are building on a proud heritage that stretches back 175 years. As one of the country’s leading girls’ school, we are now driving an exciting future that is underpinned by fresh ideas, an innovative spirit and state-of-the-art facilities.

Salary: Competitive. All staff receive free lunches and refreshments.
