Director of Community Development and Marketing

 The Director of Community Development and Marketing reports directly to Headmaster and oversees aspects associated with the day-to-day running of the Headmaster’s Office, including working alongside senior staff, including the Director of Finance and Accounting, and line managing support staff as designated. 

 The postholder is responsible for offering direct senior administrative support to the Headmaster and effective leadership, organisation and administration in the areas of School Community Development, Alumni support, general marketing and Admissions, including internal and external communication and relations.

 The Director of Community Development and Marketing is responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of services falling within the postholder’s remit, as well as holding a number of general responsibilities associated with effective operations within the School. 

 The Director of Community Development and Marketing possesses and demonstrates outstanding written and communication skills, emotional intelligence, a high degree of accuracy and good judgement, impeccable organisation, resourcefulness, loyalty and discretion.  S/he is a ‘big picture’ thinker who possesses an excellent understanding of the educational priorities of the School, experience of strong leadership and development in relevant areas and a genuine interest in and commitment towards providing the very best opportunities for young people. 

 The Director of Community Development and Marketing will advise and support the Headmaster on all aspects falling within his/her remit and on the implementation and delivery of associated areas within the School’s Development Plan, including monitoring and evaluation.

 The successful candidate will join a School which is in excellent financial health and one in which value for money is a key consideration in its day-to-day operations and all planned developments.

 The successful candidate will offer skills in a range of disciplines in order to contribute to the successful delivery of the priorities of the Headmaster and the Governing Board. It is therefore necessary for the successful candidate to have a strong background in planning, organisation and delivery of key operational services, including the leadership and management of staff, and the ability to work flexibly to meet the requirements of this demanding role.
