The Governing Board is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher to lead both the “Creative” Faculty (Art, Product Design and Food and Nutrition) and the “PEPA” Faculty (PE and Performing Arts) as Director of Creative and Physical Arts from September 2021.
The successful candidate will be a specialist in at least one of the subject areas mentioned above. They will have existing middle leadership experience and have a proven track record of improving the outcomes and life chances of students. The successful candidate will line manage the Curriculum Leaders of the ‘Creative’ and ‘PEPA’ faculties and work closely with the Senior Leader responsible, to ensure excellent outcomes for students. They will take responsibility for leading curriculum development, ensuring an excellent standard of teaching and learning across these departments and in ensuring that the curriculum and subject offer within these faculties takes full advantage of the opportunities offered by our new school building.
The successful applicant will have access to a comprehensive and bespoke CPD programme, including nationally recognised leadership development programmes. In addition, they will have the opportunity to work strategically and in collaboration with the senior leadership team.
St. John Fisher Catholic Comprehensive School is a non-selective coeducational secondary school for students age 11-18. A split site school with free parking, we are moving to brand new buildings in 2022.
