This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational leader to join our Senior Leadership team.

Brooksby Melton College is a Specialist College providing high quality education and training. This was confirmed by Ofsted in November 2016 when the College received a ‘Good’ rating under the revised short duration inspection regime. The college has recently completed a £28m transformation project that has seen the redevelopment of teaching facilities on both its campuses.

The college has had its independent specialist status confirmed in recommendations from the recent Leicestershire Area Review and has set its strategic intent to become one of the county’s leading specialist land based Colleges.

As a Director of Curriculum, you will be responsible for the curriculum based on our Melton campus and for Higher Education and Apprenticeships across the College. As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will lead a diverse team of dedicated and committed staff and will be expected to inspire and instil a culture of high expectations for employees and students alike. The main purpose of your role will be to drive the achievement of high quality teaching and learning within your areas of responsibility and achieve outstanding student results and high levels of positive destinations for all our students.

As a member of a small senior management team you will be able to make a key strategic contribution to the future direction of the College.

As the senior manager responsible for Higher Education, you will lead on the quality and further development of Degree and Foundation Degree programmes.

You will provide leadership for Apprenticeships across the college ensuring the smooth transition to new standards and funding arrangements.

Our excellent facilities and resources together with an ambitious management team provide an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make an impact.

This role will be attractive to a creative and resilient curriculum manager looking to move up to a college senior leadership role or for a senior leader looking for a more challenging role. In addition to a minimum of 5 years curriculum management experience you must be a consummate networker with good industrial links and with a successful track record in improving outcomes for students.

With experience of a successful inspection within an FE college, you must have a proven record of excellent teaching and learning and experience of leading and managing a team. An up to date knowledge of further and higher education, including modern teaching methodologies and of the funding reforms for FE and Apprenticeships is essential and you must have the ability to direct and improve the quality of education in both Apprenticeship and FE provision.

With a background of managing quality improvement and performance management systems, you will be an experienced ‘people manager’ and able to improve and maintain high quality in vocational HE and FE provision.

Our benefits include:

· Pension, Generous Holidays, Additional College Discretionary Closure Days, CPD and Training, Occupational Health Support
