Benenden is looking to appoint a creative, energetic and inspirational Director of Digital Learning and Innovation from September 2020 to lead the strategic development of the school in this area.
The post will carry significant leadership responsibility and the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the Digital Strategy are in line with Benenden School’s Digital Vision.
The Director of Digital Learning and Innovation will lead the Benenden Digital Team, made up of staff and student representatives from across the school. They will lead on the digital aspects of teaching and learning, working alongside the Deputy Head; Academic, Executive Director of Curriculum and Professional Excellence and other members of the management team to ensure that the digital strategy is aligned with the wider strategy across the school. This role requires a capable and enthusiastic trainer being able to enthuse, inspire and encourage staff to be inventive and experimental in their use of digital technology in the classroom
Benenden is one of the leading boarding schools in Britain. We were founded in 1923 and are situated in 250 acres of attractive parkland in Kent. There are 541 girls in the school, aged 11-18, with approximately 180 of those in the Sixth Form. Benenden is at the forefront of girls’ education in the UK, with recent innovations including the Benenden Diploma, a bespoke curriculum for our youngest two year groups, and the Professional Skills Programme, teaching the Sixth Form skills for the workplace. We are an ambitious school, with recent developments including a state-of-the-art Science Centre and All-Weather Sports Pitch, and we are currently working to establish a new School Hall and Music School.
Meals are provided to staff whilst on duty. The School’s leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool are available for staff to use.
A competitive salary will be paid dependent on experience.
