Job overview

The chief executive of the CORE Education Trust has worked relentlessly and with great resilience to tackle the wide-ranging failures identified in the previous inspection. The culture and ethos of the school have been transformed since the previous inspection. - Ofsted 2016

CORE Education Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional educational leader to a major new executive leadership role as part of its ambitious expansion and development plan.

Hailed for its high profile transformation of two schools in East Birmingham earlier this year, the trust has quickly established itself as a pioneering multi-academy trust with a bright future.

As part of its growth strategy the Board of Directors is looking for a new national Director of Education to lead the next stage of the trust's evolution. This is a key strategic role reporting directly to the CEO and ultimately managing the performance of up to 20 schools nationally.

The post holder will oversee all aspects of school improvement and will continue to innovate what happens in our schools by promoting and embodying our CORE Values of Collaboration; Opportunity; Respect; Excellence.

We are seeking someone with a national profile in education and an appetite to shape the educational landscape in the UK. You will be relentless in your drive to make an impact in our schools, insisting of consistently high standards, an exceptional communicator, a visionary for a progressive approach to nurturing young people and passionate about the privilege of getting the best from school leaders.

Closing date: Tuesday 11th October
Interviews: Wednesday 19th/Thursday 20th October

The CORE Education trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
