Job overview

Director of Education

L29-L33 (£83, 971 to £93, 624)

Full Time, Permanent

Central team based in Syston with schools located across Leicestershire.

Responsible to Chief Executive Officer

Rise is a family of 13 schools that is growing. We educate over 2000 pupils and have over 250 staff working in our schools. The trajectory of school improvement over time has been strong, with all schools now providing a good quality education but we would like your help to do more great things.

This is a new role in the Trust and is a genuinely exciting opportunity. As Director of Education, you will take a strategic lead on all facets of school improvement. You will be an integral part of the Trust’s senior leadership team and deputise for the CEO as required.

You will have:

  •  a strong record in school improvement
  • an ambition that matches ours and be scandalously inclusive
  • the personal qualities to foster exemplary partnership and collaboration across schools.

Every MAT is different and roles such as this are unique to context. If you have any questions about the role please contact Estelle Skinner eskinner@risemat.co.uk to arrange a conversation with our CEO Mark Cole.

Ideally, we would like this role to start in September 2021, however we recognise that some colleagues may have a longer notice period than one half term and, as a result, we would be happy for the role to start in January 2022 for colleagues in this position.

Further Information and application details are available at https://joinrisemat.co.uk/

Please note that cv’s are not accepted and successful candidates will be informed via email.

Closing Date: 20th May 2021

Interview Dates: 26th and 27th May 2021

Rise Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. If successful in being appointed to a post you will be expected to apply for a disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service as well as other employment checks before your appointment is confirmed.
