The International Education Agency (IEA) is a private non-profit company which operates nineteen schools throughout PNG and provides Pre to 12 and Vocational Education to 5500 students. The IEA employs over 1000 staff including 320 teachers.
This is a very senior position with a wide range of responsibilities across all aspects of education.
The Director supervises the performance of all 19 schools and is direct line manager of all principals. Duties also include the development and implementation of systems for performance management of all professional staff, curriculum development and comprehensive system-wide professional development. A core aspect of the position is the development of strategic plans and policies to ensure the smooth running and future growth of the system.
We are seeking a highly experienced educator, leader and manager with extensive experience as a principal, a deep knowledge of modern educational trends and strong evidence of high level administrative skills.

The International Education Agency is the oldest and largest private education provider in Papua New Guinea. It is a non-profit company responsible for the management of twenty school campuses and a large vocational college throughout the country.
Each school is controlled by a Board of Governors elected by the parents. Schools are managed by Principals who are each responsible to the Director of Education. The IEA curriculum has been developed in line with current international curriculum trends.
IEA schools in Papua New Guinea educate over 6000 expatriate and citizen pupils and employ around 300 teachers. IEA schools receive no government funding and school fees are dictated by the costs of operating the schools. More information can be found at www.iea.ac.pg.
