Brockenhurst College is seeking a dynamic Director of Faculty to join our upper leadership team. As Director of Faculty, you will provide strategic leadership to a Faculty area, working closely with Curriculum Leaders to drive high standards in curriculum, quality assurance, student achievement and progression. You will also play a key role in shaping the faculty’s direction, supporting staff development, and contributing to cross-college initiatives that align with the College’s strategic vision.

We welcome applications from experienced teaching professionals, with some leadership experience, who are focused on driving excellence and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement and development. Whilst not essential, experience of leadership in a STEM-related subject may be advantageous. Above all, we are looking for someone with the vision and dedication to make a real impact as a leader, and who shares our commitment to high quality, while championing inclusivity, ensuring that education is accessible and enriching for all.

This is a full time, permanent post. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £57,250 - £60,383 per annum.

As our Director of Faculty, you will have:

  • Proven experience of successful curriculum leadership, demonstrating quality improvement and development.
  • Knowledge and appreciation for curriculum-related post-16 education matters.
  • Experience of relationship-building and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Evidence of relevant continued professional development and/or training.
  • The ability to lead teams and manage development and change effectively.
  • A creative, innovative, and adaptable approach.
