Applications are invited for the post of Director of Finance and Business Management at this over-subscribed and successful 11-18 school, situated in outstandingly attractive grounds in the Hillingdon Village conservation area.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team reporting directly to the Headteacher you will share in the collective management of the school, responsible for ensuring that out finances and business management supports teaching and learning. You will be directly responsible for the strategic and operational management of all aspects of school finance and managing an annual budget in the region of £8 million, you will also hold executive responsibility for the school estate, and non-teaching technical and premises support services. 

Demonstrating you are capable of providing strategic leadership, you will have the vision and drive to support of our goal to be self-improving school which provides an outstanding education for all of our pupils.  . The ability to communicate effectively at all levels and in a variety of forums and build, lead and work with successful teams is essential.

This is a challenging, varied and rewarding post in which no day is likely to be quite the same and which therefore requires versatility, flexibility, initiative and a proven capacity for problem solving. The hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm with some flexibility required for after school events and Governors Meetings, post works broadly, but not exclusively, to the school term-school holiday cycle.

Bishopshalt School is a mixed, non-denominational academy secondary school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in Uxbridge, Middlesex, and has about 1,300 pupils.

The school was established as Uxbridge County School in the Greenway in 1907. The former grammar school became a comprehensive school In 1977. It is now operated by the school’s academy trust.
