The Director of Finance at the Ted Wragg Trust will have ambition, drive, sector expertise and above all strong agile leadership to be successful in this senior Executive role reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. 

The Ted Wragg Trust is a highly successful multi academy trust with schools in Exeter and Plymouth providing education to children aged from 2 to 16 with Exeter College and the University of Exeter as our outstanding lead education partners. The Trust believes that working in collaboration through local communities of schools we can transform the life chances of children and our priority is to ensure that students, regardless of socio-economic background can grow, thrive and be successful.  

This role will be challenging but always interesting and it will provide an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a high calibre financial expert to lead and inspire their teams to provide best in class finance and business functions. You will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Chair of the Audit, Finance and Resources Committee and the wider Board of Trustees to give strategic leadership and assurance across several business functions of the Trust.  

The successful applicant will be a fully qualified Accountant who is commercially astute and is able to translate visionary concepts into practical implementation plans. You will be a natural and motivational leader, thrive on accountability, have strong negotiation skills and be able to communicate confidently at the highest levels in a fast paced environment.

You will have relentless personal drive and be able to demonstrate commitment to the values of the Trust. In return we can offer you:
