Director of Health and Wellbeing – TLR 1(1)
Southfield School is an excellent girls’ school with a vibrant mixed Sixth Form. With a progress 8 score of 0.69, the school sits in the top 5% of schools in the country. The school has a key focus on staff wellbeing and has numerous initiatives in place to support this. They include time for planning off-site, fitness clubs, yoga sessions and many more. These initiatives are driven by a wellbeing group made up of staff members of varied experience.
Health and well-being has been a priority for the school for the past few years with the introduction of Health and Wellbeing champions. An exciting opportunity has arisen to formalise the provision and co-ordination of health and wellbeing at the school with the introduction of the post of Director of Health and Wellbeing. It is envisaged that this will pull together a number of strands linked to student health and wellbeing.
In the last Ofsted report inspectors reported that they were impressed by our students. They “demonstrate very positive attitudes towards their learning” and are “proud of their school and take pride in their work”. “Poor behaviour across the school is rare”. We would recommend that you come and visit us during a working day and we are confident that you would be impressed.
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, highly motivated, innovative and committed leader. The successful candidate will be able to teach both key stages 4 and 5. The vacancy is available from September 2018.
