We are looking to appoint a highly effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills to provide leadership and clear vision for our Trust’s HR (People) Strategy. The Director of HR will be responsible for a number of areas including attraction, recruitment, developing talent and staff retention. In addition, the postholder will provide support for leaders and managers across the Trust, providing expert advice in handling capability, disciplinary, grievance, and absence matters.

This role provides an outstanding opportunity for an experienced HR professional to make a significant impact by developing our HR (People) Strategy and strengthening our position as an employer of choice. The successful candidate will be a strategic planner and thinker with the ability to make things happen and deliver strategic goals. There will need to be a demonstratable track record of impactful employee relations advice, talent management and recruitment.

The Director of HR will soon be responsible for providing a comprehensive HR service for over approximately 1000 staff within The Collegiate Trust, focusing on maximising the value and talent of our workforce. A working knowledge of schools and school systems would be an advantage, but is not essential. This post has the benefit of membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.

If you have any queries or would like an informal discussion about the role, please contact the COO David Clarke, david.clarke@tct-academies.org.

The Collegiate Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers, online searches and the Disclosure and Barring Service. Appointment will be dependent upon further health, medical, safeguarding and attendance checks.
