Job overview

Brighton College Abu Dhabi is a leading Independent-style British International School in the United Arab Emirates; we were recently graded as an Outstanding school.

With a prime location on Abu Dhabi Island and a purpose-built state of the art campus, which is nearing its seventh anniversary, the school is heavily over-subscribed. It is a vibrant, busy and fulfilling place to work, but one where every teacher is expected to 'give their all'.

As the  Director of Inclusion, you  will lead an integrated team of specialists who will collectively ensure that every pupil is provided with the help and support they need to enable them to achieve. As a Senior Leader, your will have the autonomy to define and shape this provision, within College policy and promote inclusion across the College at all levels, with a commitment to improving transitions between the three schools.

Our positioning as a leading school in the region and our GCSE results are a testament to the dedication, high standards and hard work of our staff. Teachers are supported and nurtured with CPD opportunities, identified through a combination of personal goals and the school’s development targets. Packages are amongst the best globally with an excellent salary and a strong benefits package.  Opportunities for promotion exist either within the school or within the growing Brighton family of schools.

The role is a challenging and busy one, which requires collaboration with colleagues and parents, an advanced understanding of best educational practice and a willingness to be flexible.

Brighton College, Abu Dhabi is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and other agencies and must provide an ACRO check if currently working in the UK.

NOTE: The selected candidate is expected to join in January 2020. Closing date for applications is Saturday 5th October  2019. We reserve the right to interview and offer to a strong candidate prior to the closing date. It is strongly recommended that candidates submit their applications as soon as possible.
