We are currently seeking a Director of Information & Learning Technology (ILT) to provide vision and leadership for the development and high-quality provision of ILT requirements for learning, administrative and communication purposes across the School. Reporting directly to the Principal, this role is a member of the School's Executive team and a member of the Board Risk Committee.


The Director of ILT will directly lead the ILT team including the Information Systems Manager, the Infrastructure Manager, the Service Desk Manager and the e-Learning Coordinators.


General objectives include:

  • Define and drive the future direction of ILT at Redlands, in harmony with the Redlands Learning Platform, to enhance teaching and learning outcomes for staff and students;
  • Produce efficient administrative procedures and processes and high-quality communications among stakeholders of the Redlands community; and
  • Build, lead and manage a high performing team of ILT professional staff and ILT curriculum leaders across the school that is responsible for delivering quality systems and projects on-time and to budget.


The successful candidate will be an experienced and dynamic professional with:

  • Relevant tertiary and professional qualifications (minimum of a bachelor's degree);
  • 5 years relevant education or industry experience as an ILT leader or Senior Manager in similar sized organisation;
  • 10 years + relevant ILT experience;
  • Proven experience of managing a range of ILT services to a high standard;
  • Strong strategic acumen;
  • Strong project management experience in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of technology related projects;
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills;
  • An interest in facilitating teaching and learning through technology;
  • An ability to liaise professionally with all key stakeholders; and
  • Hold or be able to obtain a current Working with Children Check (essential) and have the right to work in Australia.


Experience working within a school or education setting is desirable.
