Habs Girls and Habs Boys Schools are committed to leading pedagogical innovation in the coming decades and are seeking an exceptional individual to lead and coordinate this exciting work. Forming a major part of the 2030 Habs Elstree Joint Strategy, the ‘Haberdashers’ Elstree Innovation Centre’ will be a new hub where we develop ambitious, imaginative and relevant research-informed projects to promote outstanding teaching and learning both within the Elstree schools and to connect to other schools and higher education institutions nationally and around the world.

The Director of Innovation will report to the Executive Principal and be a member of the newly formed, energetic and supportive Executive Committee which is responsible for the strategic leadership of these two highly regarded Schools.

Applicants should be a good honours graduate of a leading university, have experience of leading and managing successfully, ideally in a school environment and be willing to be fully involved in all aspects of the schools’ busy life. A track record of outstanding teaching is essential, but no specific specialist subject is sought. A willingness to contribute to the schools’ extensive co-curricular programme is also required.
