Are you a transformational leader with a successful track record of management in a large Language School or FE environment? Are you up for a challenge? We are recruiting a Director for our International Language School - a truly unique opportunity with West London's College. You will lead the International Language School team, re-energise our international provision and put the School back where it belongs as London's leading international language school.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the for the strategy, leadership, planning, resources and quality of the International Language School, a business unit of West London’s College and a commercial entity in its own right. Through transformational leadership and the development of innovative solutions, market share, income and profit for the International Language School you will play a key role in it becoming the lead provider of skills, education and training for overseas students in London.

You will manage our IELTS and EFL provision, ensuring continuous improvements in quality and efficiency, maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders including the British Council and UKVI and implement a commercial strategy which delivers year on year increases in learner numbers and income generated.

The Person

We looking for someone with energy and drive with successful experience in developing strategies and management within this specialist field. You will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining productive partnerships with external stakeholders including UKVI, British Council, agents and employers. The successful candidate will also be an inspirational and transformational leader. In addition, and equally important, will be your flair for business, commercial acumen and outstanding entrepreneurial spirit.

You will have demonstrated previously your ability to maximize funding streams and deliver services efficiently, and have a detailed knowledge of current policy in International student Recruitment, IELTS, UKVI requirements, FE and HE and all other relevant legislation and policies. In addition you will be:

  • Able to effectively communicate with stakeholders with credibility and integrity
  • Able to lead, motivate, manage and transform teams of staff and teams
  • Highly organized and disciplined
  • Able to deliver projects on time and to budget.
