This exciting senior post has arisen within the Central Support Team of the Bath & Wells Multi Academy Trust (MAT). This is a pivotal role for the BWMAT to support its consolidation, further growth and continued transformation into an outstanding provider of education, rooted in its Christian principles and an ethos of genuine collaborative working. Currently home to 30 primary schools, the MAT is increasingly sought after as a unique and distinctive option for primary schools within the Bath & Wells Diocese. 

The successful candidate will be an experienced, inspiring and innovative leader in school improvement with a wide range of skills to steer the organisation forward. This is an exciting opportunity to work for an Academy Trust committed to high expectations, high standards and excellent provision for all learners.

You will lead the school improvement agenda and be accountable for school improvement within the BWMAT and will hold a strategic overview and management of a team of Regional Directors in each of the geographical regions to oversee a culture of continual improvement. 

You will work to secure rapid and sustained improvement for every school in the BWMAT in order to ensure the best possible educational outcomes for every child. You will ensure that schools are provided with the highest quality monitoring, challenge, support and intervention in order to raise standards.

The successful candidate will have considerable experience of leadership within schools, Local Authority or Multi Academy Trusts, have a proven ability to lead and implement strategies for school improvement and have excellent research, data analysis and reporting skills. They will have experience of and the ability to successfully support, monitor and challenge vulnerable schools, and have a clear understanding of how school to school support can be developed.
