Energy Coast UTC is a vibrant college – created through a partnership between industry and education. Our approach to the curriculum, grounded in traditional values, provide a great foundation for students’ futures. We are a college that delivers engineering excellence through innovative, technically- focused education. Our partners include: Sellafield Ltd, Gen2, Morgan Sindall, Royal Navy, the National Nuclear Laboratory, the NDA, the University of Cumbria and Lakes College. The UTC is located on the edge of the Lake District National Park, a beautiful area in which to live and work.

Our UTC and science results are well above national and our OFSTED report of 2017 commented ‘the new Principal has transformed the college’, ‘pupils behave well around the college’ and that a ‘good foundation has now been secured to enable continued improvement’. The science department teaches separate sciences at KS4 and offers A-level Chemistry, Biology and Physics and L3 Lab Skills post 16.
