Director of Marketing and Admissions 

Chigwell School is seeking to appoint a Director of Marketing & Admissions to lead, develop and deliver outstanding marketing communications and pupil recruitment and retention strategies. An exciting opportunity looking forward to the 400th anniversary of the founding of the School, this position will play a significant role to its ongoing success. 

The role will be suited to an experienced marketing professional coming either from industry or from within the independent education sector and able to deliver a full range of activities relating to advertising, branding, media relations, PR and social media. 

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and confident team player, highly numerate with excellent planning, organisation and administrative skills, and with the ability to lead and build effective relationships with people at all levels within the School and in a wide range of organisations. It is also expected that they will have a recognised qualification in marketing and be educated to degree level.  

This post presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a school that is not only highly successful academically, but also excels in sport, the arts, outdoor pursuits and a wide range of other co-curricular activities. As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will contribute to the strategic direction of the whole school, working on the promotion of key aspects of the school’s outstanding educational provision and raising the school’s reputation, presence and profile locally, nationally and overseas.

About Chigwell School

Chigwell School is an independent, mixed, Church of England all-through day and boarding school for four to 19-year-olds,  located in Chigwell, Essex. The school has just over 1060 pupils.

The school can trace its history back to 1629, when it was founded originally as a boys’ school. It is run as an educational charity, overseen by a board of governors who are also trustees of that charity.
