Position: Director of Marketing and Communications

The Role:

Harrow International School, New York is delighted to welcome applications for the post of Director of Marketing and Communications. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, creative and dynamic marketing and communications professional to play a key role in shaping a world-leading school from its launch. The Director of Marketing and Communications will work closely with the Founding Principal and other members of the Founding Senior Leadership Team to develop a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy for the School, developing and promoting its reputation as a centre of educational excellence at local, national and global levels, and ensuring effective and proactive engagement with all key stakeholders.

The Director of Marketing and Communications will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the School’s Marketing and Communications functions, and will work closely with the Director of Admissions to facilitate student and parent engagement and ensure a seamless applicant journey. The successful candidate will also have responsibility for developing and maintaining an effective and dynamic online presence for the School, as well as leading on all internal and external communications, including developing proactive and positive relationships with the online and print media. In addition, the Director of Marketing and Communications will develop, promote and sustain the School’s programme of engagement with the local community of which it will be an integral part.

Significant previous experience of working at a senior level in a US-facing Marketing and Communications role is an essential prerequisite for candidates applying for this role, and prior experience of working in an educational environment is highly desirable.
