We want someone who is thoroughly passionate about Mathematics and the development of Mathematics pedagogy and curriculum. We need someone with a strong presence; someone who is ambitious for the students, their colleagues and the academy; who has vision; and who is interested in achieving the very best outcomes both in attainment and progress for our young people.
This is a first tier middle leadership post, responsible for other middle leaders and accountable to a senior leadership line manager. The post holder will lead the development of the faculty and contribute to whole academy policy and practice. This is a critical, strategic role within the academy as we seek to drive performance in our Mathematics department.
In addition to those professional responsibilities that are common to all teachers in the academy, the post holder’s key accountability will be in delivering the best possible standards of student achievement, quality of teaching; behaviour and safety and leadership and management across the faculty.
