Heathcote School is an 11 – 18 School that has a new Headteacher and a new vision. We are looking for a candidate to continue to develop the department and enable true opportunities for the development of learning and teaching enabling staff, at all levels of their careers, and pupils to thrive.  This is a strong department with a clear focus on pupils developing their mathematical understanding alongside preparing for success in their examinations and has significant success at GCSE and A Level; being one of our most popular post 16 courses.  Our Maths teachers work collegiately to support each other, develop resources and ensure students achieve to the best of their potential. This is in line with the school vision of Encourage, Challenge, Succeed.  The successful candidate will also need to drive the development of numeracy across the school. The department has a Leading Practitioner who works at a whole school level to support learning and teaching.
