Director of Maths

Thank you for your interest in the post of ESW Director of Maths. We know how much time it takes to make an application at this level, so thank you in advance for your commitment and effort.

This is a great opportunity. ESW has 10 schools, 5000 students and 600 staff. Our purpose is clear: “working together so that children can lead great lives”. We want each of our schools to grow its individual ethos and identity within the overall family of ESW. Our belief is that in the emerging educational landscape, each school can best achieve that with the support and challenge of partner schools. 

You will see from the attached details that Education South West is a successful and thriving Trust. We are one of 25 Trusts nationwide who were chosen by the DfE to support another Trust as part of a pilot project

Maths is a vital subject, not just because of the accountability measures but more importantly because it offers a unique way of viewing and interpreting the world around us, and is vital to meeting many of the future challenges in society, industry and business. Standards in our schools are variable, and so we have recognised the need to bring strong and visionary leadership for this area into the Trust.
