We believe that this is a wonderful opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of Music at Bishop Perowne College. 

Our Director of Music plays a significant part in the development of the Performing Arts at Bishop Perowne and is pivotal to important events in our school’s calendar such as our Annual Carol Service held at the Worcester Cathedral.  We are proud to continue our tradition of high quality performing arts as a Specialist Performing Arts College. 

We seek an ambitious colleague who wishes to create a successful department, to lead new approaches to teaching and learning and to improve outcomes for students at all levels.  We will expect the successful candidate to make a real difference to the life chances of our students.   

This job requires lots of determination and creativity. Regardless of your age and experience, we are looking for a Director of Music who will raise expectations and help students to appreciate fully their experience in the teaching and performing of Music.  The successful candidate will also be an ambassador for the Performing Arts College and take a lead role in making Bishop Perowne a Performing Arts Hub through engagement with the wider community.  

In return, we will support you totally in the development of the subject, will help your creativity in innovating opportunities for students and will share your determination to make the subject ‘Outstanding’. You would be joining a school that is on a journey of rapid improvement that is passionate about its students and about those students succeeding and achieving their best.  GCSE results in 2017 made Bishop Perowne the ‘Most Improved School in Worcestershire’ and in the top 60 or so of schools in the country for Progress 8 improvement.   A
