Altrincham Grammar School for Boys is a six-form entry 11-18 selective Academy School. This is a rare opportunity for a creative, dynamic musician and teacher to lead a successful department. The new Director of Music will have the ability to inspire and encourage participation in music across the school and at all levels.

The successful applicant will be a well-qualified Musician and will join a strong Department and be able to teach through the age range to able and receptive pupils. At AGSB, Music is a ‘performance’ and ‘practical’ subject. Our aim is for all students to take part in a musical performance at least once.

The new Director of Music will be expected to take up post in September 2020. On the interview day applicants will teach a lesson and lead a rehearsal of an ensemble.
