West Buckland School are seeking an inspirational and creative person to lead an exciting vision for the music department. West Buckland is a through school, 3-18 years, and the music reflects this with a department of three full-time staff and peripatetic music teachers working across prep and senior schools.
You must be a strong and passionate musician, with the vision, connections and energy needed to nurture interest and talent. This is designed to be a role suitable for a current teacher, a Director of Music wishing to branch out, or someone interested in developing music in schools but with no teaching qualifications. You would need to be an effective and inspiring ensemble leader as well as someone who understands the pressures of a school environment and with an interest in other creative and performing arts.
