Director of Music
Monmouth School for Girls seeks to appoint a talented and inspirational professional to lead its vibrant and successful Music Department from September 2018. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, enthusiastic and bring their own unique skills to the department. They will be experienced in teaching Music across the key stages, including A level, and in managing the team, which currently comprises three academic teachers and a team of peripatetic music teachers. The department runs a busy co-curricular programme as well as staging numerous concerts and productions. The role will also involve collaboration with Monmouth School for Boys, and comes at an exciting time with the opening of our new Performing Arts Centre in September 2018. Piano skills are essential and a knowledge of music technology is desirable.
A contribution to the wider life of a day and boarding school, both in pastoral and co-curricular activities, is expected. We offer a friendly and supportive working environment.
