An inspirational and energetic Director of Music is required for September 2019.
Music has a high profile within this leading Prep School and this is reflected in both the quality and number of choirs and ensemble groups. Pupils regularly gain Music Scholarships at 13+ and the Department is supported by a very talented and committed group of peripatetic musicians. As well as being a proficient musician and pianist, the most important quality will be their ability to build relationships with the pupils which inspire and encourage, and which build belief and confidence.
Hazlegrove is a thriving South West Co-Educational Prep School with boarding numbers at capacity and waiting lists in a number of years. Pupil roll is around 380 with 100 full boarders. Based around an 18th century house and set in 200 acres of parkland, the school enjoys outstanding facilities.
The Inspection Report (September 2015) judged the school to be excellent in all areas and the Regulatory Compliance Inspection Report (September 2018) judged the school to have met all the standards for Independent Schools, Boarding Schools and EYFS.
The school is committed to continued improvement, to outstanding teaching and in a structured and supportive environment with the belief that learning is best achieved when pupils feel appreciated and safe.
