We are excited to have the opportunity to add to our dedicated Performing Arts team with Director of this strong department. We are looking for a creative professional with strong personal practice and an eye for growing talent, encouraging and inspiring a team and holding high expectations so that students achieve more than they thought they could.  Here you will be working with some of our most able and ambitious at KS5 as well as lighting fires in our younger students in KS3 and 4.

 We are a happy, forward thinking, creative and collegiate staff body seeking radiators not drains to join our journey as we continue to provide a strong education for the community of the market town of Oswestry in idyllic rural Shropshire. 

The performing Arts Department is a dedicated, creative and enthusiastic team of 5 working together to create a dynamic curriculum at KS3, giving the students a sound base for KS4. In addition, the team’s contribution to our enrichment curriculum is extensive – including our whole school performance, a significance highlight of our school year.

We know our school is a special place, our staff wellbeing survey tells us staff love working here because of the relationships between staff, departments and students and we would love to meet you so you can see this in practice.

The Marches School is a successful, forward-thinking 11-18 Academy, with 1,440 students currently on roll. Located in the attractive border town of Oswestry, the school enjoys a semi-rural location, within walking distance of the town centre. In 2013, The Marches opened its doors to the school's first ever Sixth Formers and now delivers a broad range of A Levels to current students and those joining from other local 11-16 schools. The school boasts modern, spacious Sixth Form Facilities and excellent outcomes.
