Job overview

Chase High School became part of the Brentwood Academies Trust on 1/4/15. We have determined a new pastoral structure which will include three key stage Directors. The Directors need to demonstrate an ability to raise standards of progress as well as have an impact on pastoral care within his or her key stage.

This will include the ability to impact on curriculum structure and bring strategies for whole school improvement. This is a new post which provides an excellent opportunity for an ambitious candidate to help further develop a thriving sixth form. Rated “Good” by Ofsted, the Chase High Sixth Form offers a range of A level and vocational courses at both level 3 and level 2, including the brand new Football Academy.

The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of the challenges facing Post 16 education in the light of recent reforms, including the need to monitor and develop non-qualification activities to ensure they align with funding arrangements. Housed in an elegant, purpose built environment with modern facilities, the sixth form currently has just under 200 students with the
potential to grow to 300.

The Academy is clear about the need to improve achievement and is working with partner schools to re-establish a focus on high expectations and quality learning and teaching. Chase High School works closely with St Martin’s School in Brentwood drawing on its proven effectiveness over many years, at the same time maintaining the ethos and culture of our own Academy.

Chase High School will offer you:

  • The chance to shape the future of a school.
  • Enthusiastic, well-motivated pupils.
  • Supportive and friendly staff.
  • Opportunity for progression.
  • High quality professional development.
