Director of School Business and Facilities

We are seeking an exceptional leader and manager to join our growing Leadership team. This is a key strategic role and the successful candidate will have responsibility for leading on finances, site management, health and safety and admin. The appointed candidate will have a proven track record of financial management of multi-million pound budgets and will have the necessary leadership and management skills needed for continuous school improvement. Visits to the college are welcome and encouraged.

Ernest Bevin College is an 11-19 boys’ school with 1250 on roll. We have a mixed sixth form of 370 students based in state of the art buildings with good transport links. Our last Ofsted inspection judged the school to be OUTSTANDING.

In 2017, 63% of pupils obtained both English and Maths at GCSE at Grade 4+, 33% obtained the EBacc at Grade 4+. Last year 130 students from our 6th Form went to University, 70 to study STEM related subjects.

We are an Elite Sports College competing at national and international level in a range of sports. We have full time coaches for volleyball, judo and table tennis and fantastic sports facilities including a swimming pool and fitness studio. These facilities are extensively used by students and staff free of charge.

We are one of only 4 schools in the country to have been awarded STEM Assured status, the only school in London to have a Combined Cadet Force on site and we have recently formed a Cricket Academy in partnership with Twenty20 Community Cricket.
