Director of Schools (Executive Head) - Athaiba Branch

Four Branches, One School – and an exciting opportunity - our four branches have c2500 pupils and c250 teaching staff, making UPS the largest private education provider in the capital. The Board of United Private Schools is looking to appoint an exceptional Director of Schools who can build on the achievements to date and lead the Institution into the next phase of its development.

The United Private School's (UPS) Vision is to be a leading education provider in the region. Our philosophy is to foster strong ethical, cultural and educational standards within our students which is reflected in our enhanced school curriculum.

UPS is a relatively new and rapidly expanding bi-lingual provider offering education from KG1 to Grade 12. We operate in four locations across Muscat. The schools/branches offer the EYFS and the English National Curriculum up to Grade 6. Beyond that we deliver a combination of CIE, Cambridge, and Ministry of Education programmes between Grade 7 and 12, including IGCSE.

We are looking for a Director who will be:

• a talented and values-driven educationalist,
• a proven school leader, who will work with our Board, four Principals/Headteachers and staff body, to provide overall strategic leadership for our four branches to move together towards meeting our Vision to become the leading education provider in the region.
• a leader who recognises and embraces the opportunities and benefits that schools organised in this way can offer, for example you might have been an Executive Head.

Our aim is to deliver an international curriculum that is embedded in Omani faith, culture and tradition. Your task will be to deliver that aim and our vision of excellence through collaboration, one that takes all four branches to ‘outstanding’ and gives the children in our care the opportunity to achieve and develop as confident, informed, and well-rounded individuals, ready for a future as yet unimagined, and for the next stage of their personal, developmental and educational journey.
