Job overview

We believe that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of All Saints Academy.

This is a new post within the Academy which has been created to strengthen the Science Curriculum Area. We are offering this role as Director as we wish to attract a colleague with appropriate experience. As a result we expect the successful candidate to make a real difference to the life chances of the students we serve.

Please apply if you are ambitious to create a new Team, to lead new approaches to teaching and learning, to improve outcomes for students at all levels and above all else to raise the profile of the Science (Curriculum Area) CA within All Saints Academy.

This job is not for the faint-hearted and requires lots of determination and creativity. Regardless of your age and experience, we are looking for a Director of Science who will raise expectation and help students to fully appreciate their experience in the teaching of Science.

In return, we will fully support you in the development of the CA, will help your creativity in innovating opportunities for students and will share your determination to make the CA Outstanding. For you, personally, we guarantee continued support in your own professional development. In short, we expect you to be eligible for career progression within a short period of time and hope that together we can prepare you for the next level, be it here at All Saints or elsewhere

At All Saints Academy, it is important to Sponsors, Governors and staff that all children make the best progress possible regardless of their academic starting point. We understand that the best progress is only achieved when teachers know their students well and plan lessons with expertise, ensuring all students become the best they can be.  We are highly ambitious for everyone and fundamentally believe that students should not have ceilings placed on their ability.

We want our students to be happy, confident and secure so that they can make the most of all the opportunities they are given.  We will work to form strong relationships between staff and students, and between students themselves, underpinned by a strong Christian ethos; where everybody matters and each individual is celebrated for all their gifts and talents.

We value our staff and offer a range of support and CPD opportunities, including weekly training sessions for colleagues who are new to the Academy, in addition to a comprehensive new staff induction.

We recognise that staff wish to further their careers and encourage progression, both within the Academy or elsewhere when the time is right for you.

So, if you are enthusiastic, share a passion for teaching and are ready for a challenge, we hope you will consider a position with us at All Saints.
