Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a Director of Science to take responsibility for the teaching and learning in our Science Faculty. Physics, Chemistry and Biology are very strong subjects in the school and are in high demand at A-Level within the Sixth Form.

Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form is a school that believes that providing the best educational experience for students requires us to give our staff the time and resources to make a difference. Allocated time for a standard scale teacher is therefore usually about 80% (40 out of 50 lessons per fortnight). Great emphasis is placed on supporting teachers at all phases in their career to develop through bespoke CPD. If you would like to work in an environment where students are polite, pleasant and keen to learn, and want to be part of our journey to Outstanding then we would be delighted to receive your application.
