Required for September 2020, we seek to appoint a director of Science and Senior Leader who will bring drive, ambition and proven expertise to oversee the faculty’s rapid progress. The faculty is fully staffed and the role would involve overseeing the Faculty Leader and Assistant Subject Leader in their roles.
The Senior Leader part of the role would see responsibilities at a whole school level and full involvement in the Senior Leadership Team. It is expected that within two years from September 2020, the subject will be delivering a good quality of education (including outcomes) for students and that progression into more whole school responsibilities will be possible. Therefore, this position would suit someone with a strong Science teaching background, who is ambitious for whole school influence.
Applications will be considered from excellent classroom practitioners able to teach both KS3 and KS4 Science immediately from September. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a proven track record of subject leadership.
