We are looking to appoint an outstanding practitioner to lead our Physical Education Department in furthering the culture of excellence that has been established across both the Junior and Senior schools.
Brighton College boasts sporting facilities that are unrivalled anywhere in the region, including a multipurpose sports hall and a 25-metre swimming pool. The IAAF-approved athletics track is the only one of its kind in Al Ain, and was used by Olympic medalists Jonathan and Alistair Brownlee as a training base ahead of their preparations for the Abu Dhabi triathlon. Our vision is to propel pupils of Physical Education to rates of progress that are equal to those of the finest schools in the world. The Department is swiftly becoming a beacon of outstanding progress by creating and developing a culture of excellence in everything it does.
Applications are invited from first rate Physical Education practitioners who hold a relevant degree, at least two years of teaching experience and a clear understanding of teaching at Key Stages 1-3, (I)GCSE with a view to examining possibilities for A-level provision. We are looking for candidates who blend creativity and rigour, are highly committed and possess excellent organisational and communication skills.
Many of our full-time teachers are also House Tutors. All members of the teaching staff are expected to provide extra-curricular activities and will also be required to contribute to the wider community life of the College.
Brighton College Al Ain offers a highly competitive tax free salary, medical insurance, an end-of-service gratuity, free housing, free annual flights for the family and free school places for children.
