An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Director of Sport at Godstowe Preparatory School. We are seeking a dynamic, passionate and well qualified individual to lead a strong department.

Godstowe has experienced great success in a number of sports including Lacrosse, Netball, Athletics and Swimming and we pride ourselves on the quality of our curriculum lessons.

Godstowe is a thriving, busy school enjoying a famous reputation in its field. P.E. is taught to every child at Godstowe by a specialist teacher from Reception onwards. The school boasts an enviable range of facilities: a 25-metre four-lane Swimming Pool, a multi-purpose Sports Hall and Dance Studio, floodlit Netball and Tennis Courts, a Lacrosse pitch and Athletics track. 

The successful Director or Sport should have proven management skills as well as a track record in playing and coaching to a high standard, ideally in either Netball or Lacrosse.

They will have a passion for sport and be able to lead school teams to a high level. This is an exciting opportunity to lead an inspirational team at a school that prides itself on its sporting activities. We have an extensive sporting programme and there is an expectation that the successful candidate will set an example by taking sports forward as well as leading sporting tours.

Godstowe was founded by two strong, progressive women, originally in fact as a school whose purpose would be to prepare girls for the move down the hill to Wycombe Abbey School. Their vision was for an innovative, academic and broad education for girls and, without a doubt, this continues to live on in today’s school.
