The Portsmouth Grammar School is a leading co-educational school located in the historic heart of Portsmouth. The school is an IB World School and offers the IB Diploma alongside A Level.
We are seeking to appoint a full time Director of Sport to lead a large and experienced department at The Portsmouth Grammar School and to shape our vision and strategic direction for Sport within the Senior School, which offers outstanding sporting facilities and opportunities.
Sport is a significant aspect of life at PGS thanks to a genuinely inclusive programme with opportunities for pupils at all levels, a comprehensive fixtures programme, specialist coaching and sports tours in the UK and abroad.
We are therefore seeking to appoint someone with a real passion for sport and physical education, a proven track record of leadership and an inspirational approach.
Long list interviews will take place on Tuesday 27 February and short list interviews on Friday 2 March.
PGS is committed to safeguarding children and the successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure DBS check.

These values underpin the school's positive atmosphere in which pupils flourish academically and enjoy the many opportunities available to them'. ISI inspections focus on 5 key standards against which the inspection team concluded that all of the standards are met at PGS.
