Sport is highly regarded and prized at Danes Hill – our aim is that every pupil finds their sport and a way to achieve their potential across the wide range of activities offered. We are looking for a Director of Sport with the experience and confidence to shape the strategic direction of the curricular and co-curricular provision, and to maximise the opportunities available to the pupils and to the staff team.
The postholder will be expected to lead, develop and support staff and pupils. We are looking for someone who can model innovative, dynamic and reflective coaching practices within a secure pastoral, safety and safeguarding framework.
We need a dynamic individual, who is an excellent communicator and accomplished driver of change. The person must be able to effectively motivate, challenge and inspire individual staff commitment, while identifying strengths and areas of opportunity for growth. This is a whole school position which will require the person to work with staff and pupils from the Early Years to Year 8. Experience with both primary and secondary age groups would be an advantage.

Danes Hill School is situated in 55 acres of landscaped grounds in the village of Oxshott, Surrey. We are a 3-13 co-educational school that values the importance of Years 7 and 8 and retains very strong numbers in the top two year groups. Whilst we are an academically demanding school, we also value the breadth of opportunity on offer beyond the taught curriculum. School is more than maths and English!
