Job overview

We are seeking to recruit a Director of STEM.  This is a new and exciting role within the constantly evolving structure of Leadership at All Saints Academy.  We are seeking an individual with experience of leading Science or Maths, to show initiative and creativity whilst embedding the new Ofsted framework. The purpose of the role will be to drive up standards within Science and Maths, as well as cohesively plan the intent, implementation and impact of this area across the Academy.

This role will require the successful individual to work alongside other Curriculum Directors to build a new curriculum from intent through to implementation and measure its impact across the whole Academy.  Together with leading and managing the staff within the Science and Maths areas, you will also demonstrate your extensive teacher experience in your area of specialism.  You will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, together with a desire for continuous improvement and the ability to think strategically.

At All Saints Academy, it is important to Sponsors, Governors and staff that all children make the best progress possible regardless of their academic starting point. We understand that the best progress is only achieved when teachers know their students well and plan lessons with expertise, ensuring all students become the best they can be.  We are highly ambitious for everyone and fundamentally believe that students should not have ceilings placed on their ability.

We want our students to be happy, confident and secure so that they can make the most of all the opportunities they are given.  We will work to form strong relationships between staff and students, and between students themselves, underpinned by a strong Christian ethos; where everybody matters and each individual is celebrated for all their gifts and talents.

We value our staff and offer a range of support and CPD opportunities, including weekly training sessions for colleagues who are new to the Academy, in addition to a comprehensive new staff induction.

We recognise that staff wish to further their careers and encourage progression, both within the Academy or elsewhere when the time is right for you.

So, if you are enthusiastic, share a passion for teaching and are ready for a challenge, we hope you will consider a position with us at All Saints.
