The governors of Newman College are delighted to offer the opportunity to join the heavily over-subscribed Newman family at a very exciting stage in our development. Newman College is a new school, a ‘close-knit community’, in a new building with state of the art facilities.
The college opened in September 2011 and moved in to the new state-of-the-art building in September 2012. Constant and gradual growth and improvement has seen the school progress to become a heavily over-subscribed school, judged as ‘good’ and with a very good reputation.
The successful candidate will play a leading part in the mission of the college and will assist in realising the vision to see our ‘joyful learners’, Created in the image of God and shaped by the Newman family, develop soaring spirits, curious minds and limitless aspirations.
Governors are looking for a high calibre professional, with a proven track record in Business Management and School Leadership, who:
- has commitment to and understanding of Catholic education
- has vision, drive and enthusiasm to help shape the future of the college
- has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- has excellent understanding in financial management systems and experience of managing a large budget
This is an exciting opportunity to lead our college in all aspects of finance, HR, facilities and health & safety management. Saint John Henry Newman Catholic College is a Catholic Secondary School located in Chadderton, Greater Manchester. It falls under the Diocese of Salford.
The school was formed in 2011 from the amalgamation of St Augustine of Canterbury RC High School in Werneth, Oldham and Our Lady’s RC High School in Royton. The merged school was originally based over the two former school sites, but moved to a new building.
