Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield are looking to appoint a Director to lead the expansion of the Higher Education Progression Partnership (HEPP). Founded in 2011 HEPP is a collaborative partnership which has recently been successful in being awarded the South Yorkshire region of the HEFCE National Collaborative Outreach Programme.

Worth over £11 million over 4 years the objectives of this programme are to deliver targeted, high impact raising aspirations and outreach activity to improve progression to Higher Education within targeted wards within South Yorkshire.

As a Director you will provide strategic leadership in relation to the setup of the new programme of activity which will fall within the remit of the South Yorkshire region of the HEFCE National Collaborative Outreach Programme (HEPP SY), ensuring it meets the objectives set for the programme.

You will lead the development and implementation of high quality Widening Participation / Outreach activity and the establishment, maintenance and growth of new and existing relationships with key influencers. You will also ensure that all funding streams are robustly managed in accordance with programme governance requirements.

You will have substantial experience of leading collaborative work, and managing large and diverse staff teams and have an understanding of widening participation policy and objectives.
