DistanceLearningCentre.com Ltd is based in the UK and was established by a group of qualified teachers and lecturers in 1993, which makes it one of the longest established organisations of its kind. It is now the leading virtual college for Access to Higher Education in the UK. Our level of experience has led to us having a strong reputation for professionalism, reliability and quality, particularly with the Higher Education Institutions into which our students progress. We typically have over 700 learners progressing to over 100 different Universities each year.

Over the past few years, DistanceLearningCentre.com has expanded rapidly with over 2000 students studying at any given time. Although the organisation receives no government funding, it is still able to provide high‐quality courses at more competitive rates than most colleges. Our teaching staff are highly committed, working as a close‐knit supportive team, communicating regularly even though they all work from home. This approach is central to our ethos which is all about dedicated experienced educators enabling students to succeed in a friendly environment that contrasts significantly from traditional FE Colleges. Our staff turnover is very low, for the sector, as we employ and treat our staff as vocational professionals. We expect high standards from our staff but are very much opposed to the ‘blame culture’ which many teachers have experienced. Instead we operate a culture of support and openness in terms of tackling any problems which arise.

DistanceLearningCentre.com offers a range of distance learning courses (100% online) and specialises in Access to Higher Education Diplomas (accredited by Ascentis and QAA regulated) for learners wishing to enter Biomedical Science, Business, The Built Environment, Health Professions, Humanities, Law, Medicine, Midwifery, Nursing, Paramedicine, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Public Services, Social Science, Social Work, Sports Science, Teaching and other Health and Social Sciences. We also provide Level 2 qualifications in English, Maths and Science, Functional Skills and GCSEs.

We offer a uniquely individual, friendly and supportive service to all our students. This gives them every opportunity to succeed and fulfil their potential, studying flexibly at their own pace. Studying with us means students can work at home but still have a direct link to their own personal tutor through the Internet, by telephone or by post.
