South Staffordshire College are looking for a variable hours Dog Grooming/ Animal Management Teacher

The post is fixed term to 13 July 2018 and will be based at our Rodbaston campus.

Salary £9.64 to £18.35 per hour, depending on qualifications & experience

We are looking for well qualified, energetic, and enthusiastic teachers to join our excellent, well established and rapidly growing Animal Management department.  Whilst delivery of animal care based subjects is the main focus of these roles we are particularly interested to hear from applicants with dog grooming, veterinary care and horse management related experience/qualifications. The successful candidates will prepare and deliver classes and assessment activity to learners across a range of full and part time programmes from Entry Level through to HE. Experience within the Animal Management or related industries is essential. Familiarity with requirements of awarding bodies in the education sector would be an advantage. 

The ideal candidates will hold or be working towards a professional teaching qualification and have delivery experience and a genuine passion to deliver practical and theoretical sessions as well as providing pastoral support and inspiration to our learners. 

Applicants should ideally have a qualification in an animal management related subject  to Level 4. Experience with internal verification and the delivery of Maths and/or English, would also be an advantage.
